Rooted in the enduring influence of Italian cinema, La Dolce Vita is a celebration of film, style and craftsmanship. Through immersive storytelling, screenings, illustration and editorial, the partnership explores how the golden era of Italian cinema continues to inspire artists and filmmakers of today.
The centrepiece of the partnership takes place on the weekend of 4-5 July at the historic Art Deco-style Regent Street Cinema in Central London. Audiences will be treated to specially curated screenings of Michelangelo Antonioni’s La Notte (1960), starring Marcello Mastroianni, Jeanne Moreau and Monica Vitti, and Paolo Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty (2013), a modern classic drenched in opulence, melancholy and Roman grandeur.
Guests will step into a reimagined Disaronno-themed cinema, enjoy a slice of Italian aperitivo culture, and sample a variety of Disaronno cocktails including the limited-edition Dolcevita – crafted by renowned mixologist Patrick Pistolesi and his team at Drink Kong in Rome, regularly voted as one of The World’s 50 Best Bars.
All attendees will receive a specially commissioned zine, packed with exclusive editorial content and hand-drawn illustrations inspired by the featured films and the timeless spirit and unmistakable aesthetic of Italian cinema.
Beyond the event, the partnership will be brought to life on the Little White Lies website, the ‘Truth & Movies’ podcast, and across social and YouTube.
*1525: The legend of Disaronno begins.
“Disaronno has always been a symbol of Italian style, and reaching 500 years is a testament to our heritage, craftsmanship and cultural resonance. With La Dolce Vita, we wanted to honour that legacy through the lens of cinema – a medium where Italian creativity has always shone. Partnering with Little White Lies allows us to connect with a new generation of tastemakers who appreciate storytelling and craft in all its forms.”
— Peter Dries, Regional trade marketing director of Northwest Europe at Disaronno International
