The Netflix creative marketing team commissioned TCO to create a premium booklet for acclaimed director Richard Linklater’s latest film Nouvelle Vague which recounts the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless. They wanted something that was as innovative and disruptive as Godard’s film while capturing the exuberance and creative joy of Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague.To achieve this, we channelled the film’s aesthetic and attention to early 60s period detail with bold, expressive design and dramatic monochrome photography whilst elevating with a contemporary aesthetic. 

We interviewed key cast and crew to provide original insights into the making of the film, covering everything from the film's beautiful costume to casting, cameras and crew. 

The booklet was distributed at key screenings and Netflix events and helped secure nominations for major associations such as the Golden Globes.
