50 years of innovation doesn’t live in a single story. It comes to life through the collective stories of hundreds of breakthroughs, iconic products and influential partnerships. To celebrate GORE-TEX® Brand’s 50th anniversary, we worked closely with Gore’s archivists and internal experts to bring an extensive – and largely unseen – archive to life.

The impromptu test kit that convinced a small Seattle outdoors store to introduce the world to GORE-TEX® Gear. The jacket that made the first-ever ascent of Everest without oxygen possible. The skate collaboration that sold out in just 6.4 seconds. From early prototypes and iconic products to rare editorial materials and cultural artifacts that map some of the outdoors’ most groundbreaking moments – it’s all there.

In an art-directed shoot, each product is captured to reveal the detail in its construction, its character and its place in GORE-TEX® History. The result? A unified digital experience that celebrates the past while setting a direction for the future.
