A 360 service for Brittany Allen’s DIY Emmy campaign for her role in Season 2 of the acclaimed HBO series, The Pitt.

The Results

As fans of The Pitt, we saw a unique opportunity to support artist Brittany Allen for her Emmy campaign in her role as Roxie Hamler, a terminal ill cancer patient, which is one of the key storylines in the second series of the critically acclaimed series. After reading that Brittany had decided to self-submit, we reached out with the offer of creative and editorial assistance for her DIY awards campaign.

We crafted a plan which involved a series of assets for Brittany to utilise, including Instagram stories, a selection of grid posts and most importantly, a small FYC booklet featuring an exclusive interview covering all aspects of her brilliant performance.

We wanted this to be a collaborative and enjoyable creative endeavour, and so we worked closely with Brittany throughout this process, offering moodboards and drafts so that she had the opportunity to input and offer feedback and revisions to the work.

One design challenge we had to overcome was a lack of hi-res assets available to us. With this in mind, the design direction was inspired by Brittany’s character Roxie, particularly the family-oriented nature of the storyline. We created a patchwork quilt, a reference to a prop from the show, and used collage elements, such as paper textures for a tactile/handmade feel. We wanted it to have an analogue aesthetic inspired by the digital blackout in season 2, with handwritten details inspired by doctors' notes, medical documentation and polaroid frames.
